Security State Bank is the larger of the two banks originally chartered in Scott County, Kansas, with total assets in excess of 100 million dollars. We are a locally owned community bank that opened in 1961 in Scott City, Kansas. We also maintain a full service branch in Leoti, Kansas. A state chartered bank, Security State Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Security Bancshares, Inc., a multi-bank holding company also based in Scott City. In addition to Security State Bank, Security Bancshares, Inc. also owns the Farmers State Bank in Oakley, Kansas, and Farmers & Merchants Bank of Colby in Colby, Kansas, two more Kansas community banks.
